The first blocks in the exciting new Westwood community, proved to be very popular amongst buyers having sold out at the release day.
At the release, 22 buyers became the first to ‘put down roots’ in Plumpton’s newest community, which will eventually become home to 888 families. Generous lot sizes, ranging from 350m2-897m2, were snapped by first and second home buyers almost entirely from the immediate Caroline Springs and Taylors Lakes catchment. Dacland Senior Development Manager, Lewis Cormie, was delighted with the result.
“With more than 1000 registrations of interest, the first release day on Saturday, 9th December was booked out with 40 appointments. As such, the first 22 lots of Stage 1A are now sold out,” noted Lewis.
“Several purchasers, now eagerly await the second phase of the initial release that will feature a selection of 13 lots, directly adjacent to the communities 1.2km green spine.”
Upon completion, this fantastic community will become home to approximately 2500 residents. With intelligent design and planning at its forefront, the Westwood masterplan has a few exciting key features that will offer these residents a unique and enviable lifestyle.
“A 1.2km green spine, called “the Walk” connects the community, giving every home access to open space within a minute of their front doorstep and a safe pathway connecting them to amenities including the proposed community centre, P-12 school and sporting reserves,” noted Dahua Development Manager, Hugh Lu.
“The Walk will connect with a number of parks and greenspaces within the estate providing opportunities for both passive and active recreation for our residents. The Walk is the mesh that brings the community together, offering a range of ways to interact and be a part of the community.”
“This community has been developed with the environment and community culture in mind. There has been a detailed planning process to ensure that best in class sustainability practices are applied to the project from the very first day of planning,” added Lewis.
Westwood will be delivered by Dacland for the Dahua Group marking another milestone in what has been a hugely successful relationship resulting in market leading developments at King’s Leigh, Werribee and Lochaven, Cranbourne West in recent years. The project will embody the community values of both Dacland and Dahua Group, who aspire to create a community that residents will be proud to call home.
“Dahua assisted by project manager, Dacland offers meet your neighbour events at land settlement, to ensure that residents are connected before they even move into the community. The purpose-built sales environment will also boast a community area accessible from January next year, where neighbours, groups and clubs can meet at their leisure. As the community develops there will be a range of initiatives and events designed to create a sense of belonging and community ownership,” said Hugh.
The sales office/community facility is currently under construction and will open in January.
“We expect construction to start in the second quarter of 2018 with the first stages titled early in 2019. We cannot wait to see our design vision be brought to life at Westwood,” said Lewis.
