The first homes have begun at Wynbrook

Savvy investors, Anthea and David are amongst the first residents to begin building their home at Wynbrook in Wyndham Vale. The couple plan to build a large family home that will one-day help fund their retirement.

“This will be our final house before we settle into retirement. We wanted something that had plenty of space for us to entertain friends and family, that may also be a valuable investment for when we retire in a few years’ time,” said Anthea.

“There is lots of growth in the West, with plenty of new infrastructure still to come. We are confident that our new home will help us fund our retirement.”

Anthea and David have lived in the west for nearly 15 years, in 2015 they sold their house in Manor Lakes and temporarily moved to Bendigo for David’s work with an electrical contracting company.

Shortly after, the couple were looking to purchase land for when they moved back into the area. They were driving around Wyndham Vale when a billboard on Ballan Road caught Anthea’s eye.

“We were driving around Wyndham Vale area when we saw a billboard advertising Wynbrook’s first release. We looked Wynbrook up online and really liked what the community had to offer,” said Anthea.

“We wanted first dibbs on a block and quickly registered for the first land release.”

The pair, who are currently renting nearby are looking forward to having a place of their own again. They have chosen to build a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with Porter Davis. The home will have plenty of space and a large alfresco, Anthea is particularly fond of the home’s kitchen which features an open plan living design.

“Our open plan kitchen, living room and dining area will be the heart of the home. It will be the perfect space for us to entertain guests and has lots of room for people to come and go,” said Anthea.

Having an already established lifestyle in the West will make it easy for Anthea and David to settle into the Wynbrook community, once their home is complete.

“Wynbrook will provide a central location for us to get to and from work each day. We are looking forward to living in a place of our own with everything we need nearby.”
