PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF MANZEENE VILLAGE EPBC DOCUMENTATION

The Department of Environment has instructed Dacland to exhibit the following notice and documentation as part of the EPBC Approval process.

Notification for Publication of Preliminary Documentation under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act)

The following notice is published pursuant to Section 95A(3) of the EPBC Act.

The proposed action is identified as the Manzeene Village residential/commercial subdivision and associated infrastructure, Lara, Victoria (EPBC 2013/6771) to be undertaken by Dacland Capital Ltd.  The location of the action is the area bunded by Kees Road to the north, existing residential dwellings to the east, Patullos Road to the south and O’Hallorans Road to the west, and is dissected by Manzeene Avenue.

The proposed action is a controlled action under the EPBC Act.  The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A).  The proposed action involves the removal of native vegetation to facilitate the subdivision project.

Preliminary Documentation will be on display, free of charge between 24/04/15 and 22/05/15 at the following locations:

  • City of Greater Geelong Council, 100 Brougham Street, Geelong
  • Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning, 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne.
  • Department of Environment, Canberra: email the Department at epbc.referrals@environment.gov.au to arrange a copy for reviewing at the Department.

Preliminary documentation is also provided below for download.

Interested persons and organisations are invited to comment in writing on the Preliminary Documentation.  Comments in writing must be received within 20 business days (no later than COB 22/05/15).
