Earlier this month, Dacland helped the Rotary Club of Cranbourne raise funds that will support people living with a disability in the City of Casey, at their annual golf day.
Together with other local community supporters, the club raised $19,180.05. These funds will go to the Blairlogie respite accommodation facility that assists people living with a disability, by providing them with opportunities to participate in the local community. Dacland Project Marketing Manager, Petra Lauko was thrilled to support the initiative.
“We’re delighted to sponsor the Rotary Club’s annual golf day and provide support to members of the community. Blairlogie, is a worthy and necessary cause that provides fantastic opportunities for people with living with a disability to get involved in their community,” said Petra.
The importance of getting out into the community and becoming involved with community groups, such as the Rotary Club of Cranbourne is something that Dacland tries to promote for all residents. Dacland encourage healthy and active lifestyles across their communities and this is exemplified at Lochaven in Cranbourne West where an abundance of community amenities and considered design provide access to excellent open spaces and pedestrian paths that connect to shops, a proposed school, a future sports reserve and a proposed community centre.
Petra added, “This is the fourth annual golf day, Dacland have proudly supported. The Rotary Club of Cranbourne, are just one of the many groups and clubs surrounding our communities. We encourage all residents to connect with their local community and enjoy all that is on offer, whether that be a sport, hobby or a shared interest. Future infrastructure in the Lochaven community will provide residents with many opportunities to participate, within minutes of their homes.”
